What is Taboo SEO & Why I Started It
Taboo SEO was born out of two decades of hands-on experience working in industries that most traditional agencies shy away from. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping businesses in restrictive niches — adult, escort, gambling, CBD, pharma, dating, and more — build real online visibility and generate serious revenue.
These are industries where paid ads are often limited or outright banned, making SEO and backlinks the lifeline for growth. I saw a gap — a lack of agencies willing to take on these challenges with the right mix of creativity, discretion, and technical firepower. Taboo SEO is my answer to that gap: a specialist service dedicated to businesses that play outside the “safe” lines but still deserve premium results.
Don Mazonas – who am I?
I’ve been in SEO for around 20 years, starting back when search engines were far less sophisticated, and link building was the Wild West. Through countless algorithm updates, strategies, and industry shifts, I’ve honed an approach that works — especially for businesses that need to outsmart competition without relying on mainstream marketing channels. My expertise lies in blending PBN power and advanced backlink strategies to secure rankings where others can’t.
Outside of SEO, my life revolves around travelling and dancing. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit dozens of countries, blending my love for exploration with my work. Along the way, I discovered swing dancing — a passion that connects me to communities worldwide and gives me as much joy as building businesses does. Whether I’m on the dance floor or climbing mountains in a new country, I bring the same energy: full commitment, creativity, and drive.
